Last week (30 Jan-1 Feb 2017) at the Innovations in Large-Area Electronics (innoLAE) conference held at the Wellcome Genome Campus Conference Centre near Cambridge, UK, the Programme Committee selected the most impressive contributions from the 34 posters displayed in the poster session. InnoLAE 2017 Gold sponsors Cynora and NovaCentrix presented the awards for the two best posters during the drinks reception at the end of the first day of the conference. Dr Dimitra Georgiadou, Imperial College London was awarded a £250 prize by Cynora for her poster 'Unveiling the potential of adhesion lithography towards development of plastic nanoelectronics’ (co-authored with James Semple, Gwenhivir Wyatt-Moon, and Thomas Anthopoulos) and Dr Guangbin Dou, also from Imperial, was awarded £250 by NovaCentrix for ‘Interconnection technologies for integration of active devices with printed plastic electronics’ (co-author Andrew S Holmes).

This year for the first time, there were two additional runner up prizes of book vouchers donated by Cambridge University Press. These were awarded to Ms Nilushi Wijeyasinghe for her poster ‘Copper thiocyanate and its derivatives as hole transport layer materials for large-area opto/electronics’ and to Ms Gwenhivir Wyatt-Moon for ‘Solution-processed co-planar nano-scale photodetectors by adhesion lithography’. Nilushi and Gwenhivir are also both at Imperial College London – completing a clean sweep of the awards!

Congratulations to all the winners!
