innoLAE 2021
The 7th annual Innovations in Large-Area Electronics Conference (innoLAE 2021) was held online for the first time due to coronavirus restrictions from 22-25 January 2021, to deliver another key event in the large-area electronics calendar.
The innoLAE Conference attracts interest and engagement from researchers, manufacturers, integrators and users involved in large-area electronics (LAE) - a new way of making electronics which includes printable, flexible, plastic, organic and bio- electronics.
Designed to host an equal balance of representatives from industry and academia, this conference creates an important platform for supporting innovation, building collaborations, sharing knowledge and, ultimately, promoting the growth of the field and advancing the state-of-the-art.
The conference also reached 20 countries worldwide.
This year the conference was again supported by short courses covering both wet and dry processing technologies for LAE, with both courses being well received and encouraging in depth discussions about LAE processes. Continuing on the success of previous years, the conference was also supported by the CPI Industry Networking Day.
The expanding innoLAE programme highlighted the most recent, innovative and exciting aspects of large-area electronics through parallel presentation sessions, keynote addresses and poster presentations. Parallel track presentations covered the latest innovations in LAE devices, novel devices and systems, LAE for energy, applications enabled by advanced manufacturing, bioelectronics, high performance materials for LAE, wearables for healthcare, sensors and advanced manufacturing processes and equipment.
