Session Chair Information
Session Chairing
We have asked the speakers to introduce themselves to you at the beginning of the session and to make sure that they are in the room at least 10 minutes before their talk is scheduled.
Talks are 20 minutes long with 5 minutes of questions at the end (25 minutes total for each speaker)
Please introduce yourself and the session at the beginning.
Introduce each speaker – just their name, organisation and talk title (we don’t need to read out biographies)
Help the speakers to keep to time – give them a 5 minute warning, then stop them at the latest 2 minutes before the next speaker is due to start
If there is time, open for questions and please have one ready for each talk in case there are none from the audience.
Please try and start the next talk on time as people will be moving between the sessions.
Presentation Scoring
Whilst chairing the session please can you score the Accepted Speaker presentations (i.e. not the Invited ones). A scoring sheet will be provided at the registration desk.
Please return each scoring sheet to Amy or Tim as soon as it is completed.
Speaker Prize
Members of our programme committee will be reviewing the accepted speaker presentations and we will be awarding a prize for the highest-rated accepted talk.
The speaker prize will be given along with the poster prize at 17:25 on Thursday 19th February 2026 at the end of the event.
